Hi AMFisHers! This AMFisH blog post is about how having a bait game plan can really pay off for you on a fishing outing. We have all been there eagerly heading out for a day of fishing and having no clue what we are going to use until you hit your first fishing spot, well once you have a game plan things seem much easier.
I have a game plan ready several days before a fishing outing and adjust it accordingly as I get my final weather update which is usually the day before I head out. This allows me to have anywhere from 4 to 6 baits that I have pre-selected for that outing and the species I will be targeting.
This is such a useful way to increase how many fish you catch, as I was out this past weekend with my game plan ready to go and 2 baits out of the 4 I wanted to use totally rocked it! I caught about 43 fish(pictures included from this outing within this post) in about 5 hours all due to the fact that I took a few minutes to review the spots I knew I was going to fish and the baits that I thought would be productive during this late spring season.

A game plan can help with everyday life situations as well, I use fishing as the main example because I love talking fishing! So take those few minutes and make some notes on what you expect of that outing, species you are going after, weather, spots you will fish and baits/colours/sizes you are thinking will catch you some fish.
Hope you found this post helpful.
