This is a very popular knot and is my favorite one to use as it provides “CRAZY” knot strength as it is tied with your fishing ling double up, meaning you are getting double your line diameter within the knot itself. Example is if you tie a fishing knot with 6lb test braided line you end up having 6lb test strength at your knot, BUT tying the palomar knot and doubling up your line as required with this knot you have 12lb test strength at you knot, hence making your fishing knot as strong as possible.
This could make the difference between having a knot break with potentially the fish of a lifetime on the line, not fun at all. You will more then likely have pushed your line to the end and have it break before you actually knot does, that my friends is one strong knot !
Practice this knot as it is a good one to know, which is why I decided to make a detailed video that is easy to follow by using some white rope and a carabiner, that way you can see all the details of this knot.
