This is a style of fishing typically used for finesse baits like soft plastic that works very well as it allows you to flip baits around all types of structure, from docks to weeds, sunken trees, boat houses you name it the bait can strategically be placed exactly where you want it to go.
Tricky part is learning this style of fishing and “mastering” it with plenty of practice, as it can be difficult when it comes to the placement of the bait and preventing reel backlash.
In this video I share some starter tips that are also good for anyone who knows how to flip but is looking to get better at it. I used to practice flipping into cups on the front lawn as a kid, started with frisbee’s first as they were a larger target then gradually went to smaller targets to improve my accuracy.
This is definitely something worth putting the practice time into, the places it allows you to get baits is priceless so get to practicing !
