Hi AMFisHers! This weeks AMFisH fishing vlog is all about baitcasting reels and a thorough review of all the components of a baitcasting reel.
As we all know these are very affective reels to fish with BUT are quite complex due to the free spool which will cause major reel backlash if you do not thumb it properly. In this vlog I go over every knob, handle and setting feature of the baitcasting reel to clearly show how it is to be adjusted correctly.
One you learn to set the reel to correspond with the weight of each bait you are using , you will be all set for a great day of fishing! The baitcasting reel is very versatile and many of us have struggled over the years to master using them, once you get there with lot’s of practice there is a whole new fishing world waiting for you!
Focus on the keys aspects I cover in this vlog, main two being what each part of the reel does and how to make sure it is set to work properly with the bait you are using at the time. Everything I just mentioned in critical, as things that are set incorrectly can cause problems like line snapping and losing baits to knobs falling off into the lake, all of which are no fun at all.
