This fishing sign is posted up at the muskie lake I fish on and I always wanted to take a picture of this to pass it along as a good guide for identifying pike vs. muskie, as there seems to be confusing at times as to what people actually caught.

This is the picture of the pike side of the sign and from a overall look perspective pike are spotted and don’t have stripes, BUT there is another way to identify them which is by the amount of pores they have on their lower jaw.

Pike have 5 or less pores per side and you can see by this drawing take a look next time you catch one as it will help you for sure.
