Just a little tip when using live worms while fishing, try hooking the worm through that orange pouch on it’s body(the real name for this pouch is clitellum). I attached a good pic I found that shows this pouch quite clearly, I am not worm expert but from experience when a worm in hooked through the clitellum it seems to be somewhat tougher then the rest of it body, hence keeping the worm on longer AND it also keeps it alive a little longer so that extra squirming time can be valuable.
Usually one pearce of the hook through works best, leaves the ends dangling and moving around more. If smaller fish are nibling away you can hook it onen more time about a baby fingers width away from where you hooked it the first time.
