Fishing Legends: Al Lindner
Chicago-born, Minnesota-based Al Lindner was one of the first fishing pros turned TV star in the 1980s and his half-hour In-Fisherman show was arguably the best. Partly because it covered Northern Pike and Walleye fishing along with the over-exposed Large-Mouth Bass, partly because it was fast-paced, episodic and carefully produced, but mainly because of the ebullient Lindner’s intelligence and intensity. A fan favorite at fishing shows and always available for an autograph, Lindner, who currently produces the Christian-themed TV series Angling Edge with brother Ron, is by all accounts a great guy.
